Employment Opportunities
We have some opportunities to join our team for the 2025-26 school year! Our mission at Fairville Friends School is to seek spiritual and intellectual growth by fostering an appreciation of nature, celebrating diversity, and encouraging self-expression through the arts. Our school embraces the Quaker vision of education through simplicity, kindness, respect for all living things, and a deep concern for the whole child. By allowing each child's Inner Light to shine, the school reflects the core belief of the Religious Society of Friends: that there is that of God in everyone.
Our staff recognize and nurture the light within each child, help spark joy in learning, model peaceful conflict resolution, and promote a sense of belonging in the wider community. Our Assistants spend significant time each day outside in a variety of weather conditions, and so we look for staff who love nature and value outdoor play. We look for educators who are creative and recognize the important role of art in communication and learning. Assistant teachers need to be sensitive to the unique needs of each child, and thoughtful about holding information about students and families in confidence. Assistant teachers participate fully in the life of the school, including participating in staff meetings, and occasional community or fundraising activities. Our whole staff works together to cultivate a community of compassion and kindness.
We prefer candidates who have experience working with young children and possess a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education or a related field. All clearances are required at the time of hiring. If our values speak to you and you love working with children, please take a look below at the opportunities to be a part of the Fairville family!
